Fiberglass Windows/Doors (optional upgrade for windows)
All Solar Village Homes have the option to upgrade to fiberglass windows, and patio doors. Exterior doors come standard as fiberglass.
Fiberglass windows/doors combine the beauty you expect from wood with the durability to be virtually impervious to all weather conditions, warping from moisture, scratches or impacts, and fading or deterioration from UV rays. Fiberglass is nine times stronger than vinyl, the color is permanent, and fiberglass frames/doors provide significant insulation value unlike wood frames/doors. They’re virtually maintenance-free for the life of your home and incredibly sealed from air infiltration because fiberglass expands and contracts at the same rate as the window glass (unlike wood or vinyl). This allows the seal between the glass and frame to maintain its' performance for many more years than wood or vinyl, the first place that most windows fail. Finally all our windows come with Low-E glass to dramatically improve the performance of the glass. Vinyl windows with Low-E glass are the base windows for Solar Village Homes. If you can afford them, this is a very smart upgrade choice.
